Dashboard Starter is an open-source starter for React, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server: a working, production-shaped dashboard app you can clone, rename, and build your real product on. Most starters stop where the hard part begins, so this one covers the boring middle, from real auth and permissions to a server-side data grid, tests, and a deploy pipeline. I'm building it in public and writing up every significant decision, so you can take what's useful and argue with the rest.
Status: Week 1, project setup
Stack
- React + TypeScript, built with Vite
- ASP.NET Core Web API in C#, on the current .NET LTS
- SQL Server, with the free Developer edition for local work
- EF Core, with migrations checked in
- Users, roles, and permissions built into the app
- Docker Compose for local dev, GitHub Actions for CI
